Ghanaian female triple jumper Nadia Eke has been ruled out of this year’s IAAF Championship in Qatar.

The 26-year-old will be left out of team Ghana’s participation due to injury.

Eke was one of Ghana’s Athletes that qualified for the IAAF Championship and Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, but her latest setback has ruled her out of the immediate competition (IAAF).

Despite her unavailability for Ghana at the IAAF Championship, the 2015 African Games bronze medalist and 2014 African Championships silver medalist will still represent the country at the Olympic Games in Tokyo next year.

Ghana meanwhile will be represented in the Men’s and Women’s 4×100 Relay and Men’s 100metres event.

Female sprinter Josephine Anokye is also out with an injury.
