SWAG Pays Two Working Days Visit To Brong Ahafo Region

The President of the Sports Writers’ Association of Ghana (SWAG), Kwabena Yeboah will lead a team of SWAG national executives council members for a two day working visit to Brong Ahafo Region, commencing on Friday 20th December, 2019.

As part of activities to mark this historic visit, the team will interact with the Vice Chancellor and the management of Sunyani Technical University on Friday afternoon shortly before inauguration of the Brong Ahafo Branch of the Association at the University’s Kwasi Oppong Conference Hall.

The team will then proceed to Dormaa Ahenkro to pay a courtesy call on Osaagyefo Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu on the occasion of his 20th Anniversary Celebration.

Brong Ahafo Region is noted for her massive contribution towards development of Sports in Ghana. The likes of Kwasi Appiah (former Black Stars skipper & Current Coach), Kwasi Owusu (former Black Stars skipper), Asamoah Gyan (former Black Stars captain) Nana Yaw Konadu (former International Boxing Champion) , Emmanuel Agyeman Badu, Dan Owusu etc all hail from the Region. The Region has also produced some of the best sports journalists in the country.
