The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has congratulated GRA Royal Ladies, the newly crowned African champions on their historic victory in the Hockey Africa Cup for Club Championship!
Their impressive performance and dedication to the sport of hockey brought pride and joy to Ghana.
In statement issued and signed by the President of SWAG, Kwabena Yeboah said, “we are honoured to celebrate their achievement and we recognize the hard work, perseverance, and teamwork that have propelled GRA Royal Ladies to the pinnacle of African club hockey winning a consecutive fourth title.”
The team was recognised as the female club of the year at the 49th SWAG Awards and their win has been described by many as a testement of their recognition.
Mr Kwabena Yeboah added that “We commend the team’s management, coaches, and players for their tireless efforts, which have culminated in this prestigious continental title streak.
“GRA Royal Ladies’ triumph is a testament of consistent and strategic investment in female hockey, growing strength, and competitiveness to inspire a new generation of hockey players and fans in Ghana.”
