The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) is revving up to launch its Central Regional branch on August 1, 2024, at the Hacienda Hotel in Cape Coast. This milestone event promises to be a groundbreaking celebration, marking a significant accomplishment in SWAG’s expansion and a major triumph for sports journalism in Ghana.
The inauguration ceremony is expected to be a high-octane event, featuring a star-studded line-up of speakers, including the charismatic SWAG President, Mr. Kwabena Yeboah, the Regional Minister , MP’s for Cape Coast North & South, the Metropolitan Chief Executive and invited Chiefs.
The event will also showcase the official unveiling of the Central Regional branch, a symbolic plaque presentation to the branch’s leadership, and the swearing-in of the newly elected branch executives.
“I am filled with excitement as we inaugurate the final Regional branch of our great institution our forbearer bequeathed to us. Indeed, SWAG is national in character and an embodiment of a model welfare group. We continue to grow and expand” SWAG President Kwabena Yeboah reiterates.
