The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has in a solidarity message wished Duke Akueteh Micah victory on Saturday as he comes up against John Reil Casimero of the Philippines.
Swag in a statement signed by it’s General Secretary Charles Osei Assibey asked for a nationwide support as Micah moves close to become Ghana’s 11th world boxing champion.
“Our thoughts,prayers and support is with you as you lift the flag of Ghana high .
We believe in your capabilities and urge you to go all out for victory “, the statement said.
Duke Micah fights Casimero at the Mohegan Sun Casino, Unscasville, Connecticut in the United States.
Micah is undefeated in 24 bouts while Casmimero is 33-4.
